Greater Accra Region
Don’t be misled by this Regions’ small size. It hosts the country’s major international airport and has the best of all supporting facilities such as accommodation, food, beverage and entertainment. This is not to say the GAR does not have its fair share of attractions.
From the Shai Hills to its popular beaches and modern shopping malls, GAR offers a visitor a great leisure experience. But perhaps, its greatest attraction is trademark kenkey with hot pepper and fried fish and where best to sample it but by the shore besides the lighthouse in the historically rich Osu area.
But don’t be too comfortable in GAR, head out into the other parts of the country to witness what other treasures lie ahead of you.
