River Tano sacred fish pond and Bono Slave Market
River Tano Pool houses sacred fish that are jealously protected by the local community who live along the river near Techiman. You are however allowed to stand by and observe these larger than normal (for obvious reasons) fish as they operate in their natural habitat.
Nearby is the Bono Slave Market which was an important trading stop along the major slave route leading to Assin Manso in Southern Ghana. Though not very well developed, standing at this site will at
least enable you imagine the horrible pain people went through enroute to Southern Ghana.
