Larabanga Mosque and Mystery Stone
Home to over 93 mammals including elephant, hippos, warthogs, antelopes the Mole National Park also holds a great collection of birds. The Park is Ghana’s largest wildlife refuge go on a safari or hiking with an armed guard early morning or late evening.
Enjoy also a paranoiac view on a platform and watch animals move closer to a dam as they are obliged to come near water bodies.
Its really warm and humid up there so you would want to remember to wear light clothes and comfortable sports shoes for hiking.
How to get there
From Tamale you can drive West to the Park. Additionally, you can get to the park from Tamale or Wa by catching a public transport bus (Metro-bus) at 2:30pm and 6:00pm daily respectively. If you are one for privacy you could also grab a rental car at Tamale.
