Many theories have been proposed for its existence, the more theories there are the more enjoyable the lake is! In spite of academic theories surrounding its formation, getting on site will certainly let you wonder how the place was formed. Referred to the most mysterious and stimulating crater lakes on Earth, you will get the opportunity to learn many historical stories surrounding the lake.

Getting there
Lake Bosomtwe is located approximately 32 km south of Kumasi. There are number of transport options. From Cape Coast/Takoradi, alight at Bekwi. and board another trotro heading to Kuntanase and then board another taxi that is heading to the lake. With your personal car, turn right at Bekwi and follow the direction. From Kumasi, board a trotro from Asafo Lorry Station to Kuntanase.
