Buoyem caves
Buoyem is the cave and bat haven perfect for your hiking and other recreational activities. Theses caves served as a place where the Bono people retreated in the 18th century after their defeat by the
Ashanti. On an invigorating 4-5 hour hike you will impressed by the different animal species, particularly a huge colony of Rosetta fruit bats.
The cool shade provided by the Mprisi forest and the impressive
Africa Rock and Bibiri waterfall are enough to make you want to spend the night in this haven. The indigenous community is very enthusiastic about tourism and you won’t have a hard time finding a
guide to take you on tour.
You can request two-day camping trip with an overnight stay under Canopy Rock. Buoyem is located 8 km from Techiman, another huge, bustling commercial centre.
